Missions of the National Center for Energy, Science and Nuclear Techniques of Rabat:

  • Promoting scientific research and applications of nuclear techniques;

  • Constitute the technical tool of the State as regards radiological safety and security.

Coordination with the Committee of Reflection on Nuclear Power and Desalination (CRED), to finalize necessary studies to support the decision-making process regarding the nuclear power program in the framwork of “National Position” of Morocco.

Missions

The Research Institute in Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) is a research institute created in 2011 by the Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, and several key actors in the energy sector in Morocco to support the national energy strategy by supporting applied R&D in the field of solar energy and new energies.
The Institute positions itself in the field of R & D through its institution and its research center, thus offering several opportunities for the creation of synergy between the socio-economic world and the scientific world around collaborative R&D projects.

Missions

The Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (AMEE) has the following tasks:

  • Proposing to the administration a national plan as well as sectoral and regional plans for energy efficiency development;
  • Designing and implementing energy efficiency programs;
  • Monitoring, coordinating and supervising development actions in the field of energy efficiency;
  • Proposing and popularizing standards and labels in terms of equipment and appliances;
  • Mobilizing the instruments and financial resources necessary for the implementation of the programs falling within its remit;
  • Monitoring and coordinating the implementation of energy audits and the implementation of their recommendations.

Exchange Office

Missions

The Exchange Office is a public institution with legal personality and financial autonomy. It is under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance.
The exchange Office has two main tasks:

  • Enacting measures relating to exchange regulations;
  • Compiling statistics on foreign trade and the balance of payments.
    In parallel with its activities of regulating foreign exchange transactions and publishing foreign trade statistics, the Exchange Office actively participates in all actions aimed at promoting exports and developing the national economy.

Missions

The Directorate of Financial Studies and Forecasts (DEPF), is responsible for :

  • Making any proposal and carrying out any study likely to enlighten the Minister of Economy and Finance in matters of financial, economic and social policy;
  • Contributing to the preparation of the finance bill by preparing the macro-economic framework, and ensuring the financial forecasts and the preparation of the economic and financial report of the finance bill which determines the broad lines of the economic and financial balance of the project;
  • Analyzing economic, financial and social information and following national economic news;
  • Following the evolution of the international environment, evaluating its impact on the national economy, studying the consequences of international agreements on Morocco and assessing the competitiveness of the national economy;

Missions

High Commission for Planning (HCP) is a ministerial structure established in September 2003 as a mission administration, under the authority of a High Commissioner for Planning.
Institution enjoying institutional and intellectual independence in the establishment of its programs and the conduct of its surveys and studies.
Main producer of economic, demographic and social statistical information and responsible for establishing the nation’s accounts.
It develops studies in the fields of Economic conjuncture, macroeconomic framework and prospective.
It has an observatory of the living conditions of households and a center for studies and demographic research.

The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM)

The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM)

Missions

The National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) was created on 17 August 2005, by merging the Mining Research and Participations Office (BRPM) and the National Office of Research and Oil Exploitations (ONAREP).
Its main tasks are:

  • Conducting research, exploration and exploitation of oil and gas, oil shale, mineral deposits and all mineral substances (excluding phosphates);
    Encouraging and supporting any action likely to contribute to the development of the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons and mineral substances, particularly within the framework of partnerships;
  • Making available to any operator rich, reliable and accessible databases on national soil and subsoil, as well as documentation on administrative, financial and legal arrangements;
  • Negotiating with any potential partner the contractual terms in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.

Missions

The National Office of Electricity and Potable Water (ONEE) – Electricity Branch, carries out activities focused on the electricity trades: Production, Transport and Distribution of electrical energy. Its tasks are:

  • Providing the public service of electrical energy production and transmission as well as distributing the electrical energy in the areas where the Office operates;
    Managing the Kingdom’s global electricity demand;
  • Meeting the country’s electricity demand for electricity at the best cost and quality of service;
  • Managing and developing the transport network;
  • Generalizing the extension of rural electrification;
  • Working for the promotion and development of renewable energies.
