The energy sector in Morocco.

Morocco is pursuing an ambitious energy sector strategy with projects worth USD 40 billion by 2030, including USD 30 billion for renewable energy, to develop this sector. The energy transition in Morocco has begun to bear fruit and the share of wind power and solar energy in installed power, which was only 2% at the beginning of 2009, reached 13% in 2016. Morocco pays great attention to training in the field of renewable energy, with the development of a network of training centers in the renewable energy and energy efficiency professions.
